El Jardin Restaurant in Sonora

Last two times I've ate there the food has not been quite as good as it usually is. So I'm going to take a break from there for a while

Good people and great food service

Excellent service and food.

The bean dip was really great and the chicken taco was bomb.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. It's easy to walk to when you have jury duty.

Definitely a place worth visiting, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the costs are convenient and it is consistently well kept there. Kudos.

This restaurant is the one I like best. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this place I go the most. The stuff is very cordial and the cooking they serve is so delicious. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this place. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Fairly good. El Jardin has always had its own flavor. Sometimes it can be a bit inconsistent though.

The food here could be so delicious, but there’s so much salt that’s all you can taste. I ordered nachos for takeout, and they were so salty I could not eat them and had to throw them in the trash. I called to speak to the manager, but no one ever called me back. Threw my money in the trash too, and they did not care.

There are Three local EL Jardins'. I visit them all regularly. There is something slitely different between them all; if I was to put them in order of favorite, Sonora is a 3rd placer for me personally (this is mainly based on service and atmosphere). Their "type" of Mexican food is always good not matter what you order. All use the same salsa recipe, it's the BEST Salsa I've ever had. I encourage you to visit them all.

Good food served piping hot, just the way I like it! Good chips and salsa too.

Not so good. They make home made chips for their salsa, and, we enjoy getting a beer with the FLOUR tortilla chips. Their Chile reliano's are made from canned chiles. The other food is not great either. And, there are several of these in different locations. Murphy's, Sonora, Columbia. I don't know why. Only tourists go there. It's just not good. Except their flour chips and salsa.

Seems like this place is a hit and miss, my experience was definitely a miss!! Ordered the chicken enchilada and tamale combo plate. After a few bites I noticed it didn't taste right so I stopped eating but that didn't stop me from getting food poisoning! Up all night throwing up and this was the only place I had eaten that day. So please be cautious.

Great food

Waited 45 minutes for lunch. My wife and I split a chicken dish. I rarely share bad reviews because of the damage they cause. But in this case I'll make an exception. 30 minutes in he said it will be right out. No biggie I'll have another beer. 15 minutes later I cancelled the order and again. He said it'll be right out. I had an appointment and was late because of it. Please be aware of your customers time. I have no comment on the food however. I am assuming this was a bad day for them and maybe people called in sick. Does any else have the same review?

Tasty food, pleasant atmosphere, outdoor seating, and a parking garage just down the street.

It was good. The flour tortilla chips were good. Just bring some cinnamon sugar tonsprinkle on it and itll taste like crispys from taco time. Cute booths though on the downtown sonora hill. I dont ger why everyrhing is closed here on monday. We wanted burgers but...ended up w mexican. I got full off the apperizer. Good thing i didnt get a full priced entree

Tasty, authentic Mexican dishes, fast service. Busy but good food and no wait. Beer available. Traditional Mexican food and seafood.

The Chile rellenos are my favorite but the five star is for the taste of most of the food I've tried.

El Jardin's in Sonora ca has great Margaritas! Food is pretty good..sometimes a little salty. But, we like to go here!

I just love this place 😍 Atmosphere, wait staff, music, fountain, flowers, and food are absolutely delightful. Enjoy a lunch on the patio. I'm addicted to their delicious shrimp enchiladas. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting great Mexican food and will continue to return regularly. 😃

Lukewarm and mediocre chilli relleno, a burrito that was little more than overcooked meat in a tortilla without anything else, and salsa that tasted like I was going to have food poisoning in the morning. All wrapped up with a bow of rude service who forgot to even bring my little sister her glass of water until we asked twenty minutes later. I've been here many times recently, each time hoping it would be as good as it used to be. It's been worse each time. The only thing that made it passable was the drinks. I've had better for half the cost. Don't waste your time, money, or the health of your digestive tract.

Yet another good restaurant in a county with limited options that is staring down the barrel of a gun wielded by the totalitarian governor of this state and his mandate that he save our lives from something that never threatened us. But he will save us, even if it means killing us. The place was dead on the day I went, barely surviving with a couple staff handling primarily take out orders. Rumor is that supply issues due to the response to the “pandemic” is threatening their menu in the coming week.The salsa was good; a little heavy on the acid and light on salt and cilantro. The cabbage was good; a little heavy on the chilies and light on cilantro.I had the burrito grande. The pork was tender and flavorful. The rice and beans were of good quality. The pico was properly balanced and not used as an overwhelming filler. My only problem was perhaps a slight under saucing of the salsa verde. The service was good overall, with an attentive staff. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RESTAURANTS!

This is my go to place when my family comes up. Great food along with wonderful atmosphere makes any evening terrific. Sit outside and watch the world go by. They have a marvellous quaint outdoor patio that is tucked back in. Very nice. You WON'T BE disappointed I promise you.

Service was awesome. Grease is old. Had to walk out of place after half of my burrito because I was getting the cold shakes and getting clammy with an upset stomach. Saved myself from food poisoning.

The Churros Domingo is delicious and a total shareable dessert. I wouldn’t recommend the flan, tasted like cold Little Caesars pizza. The service is great, immediately greeted and seated upon entering.

I've visited other El Jardine's and each one is different. This one is always good; Food, service, atmosphere.

The food is so-so. Nothing special. Never anything new. Service is good.....but the place is dirty. I really dont like putting my arms on sticky tables. It reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen because she was too old to clean.

definetly never my first choice for mexican food. when in went there it looked like the avacado was old and they just tried to cover it with oil. since this expirience i have never gone there again.

If you like 3 day old chips and steamed quesadillas this is the place for you!

They offer an awesome range of delicious food. I loved dining here. The employees are always nice, rates are reasonable and the place is always clean.
